Tozeur

Mirage or Reality?

This is the question we ask ourselves when we see Tozeur off. But by continuing to approach, it is clear that this oasis, where a forest of palm springs, is real. Tozeur was in Roman times a hub for the exchange of goods. The city has

managed over the centuries to perpetuate this trade activity. Another highlight, Tozeur is the largest producer of dates. Feel free to walk in his palm on foot or by carriage. The palm is powered by 200 water sources. This city has a sand-colored architecture well to it. His most typical area is called Ouled el-Hadel. Tourist destination for several decades, the city has not escaped the hotel construction. Located at the entrance of the tourist area, Dar Cheraït museum is probably the most interesting of southern Tunisia museum. Walking through its few rooms, you will discover the life of the bourgeoisie of the nineteenth century Tunis.
